Style:Chaoshi
H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III (H.H. 第三世多杰羌佛) wrote a poem for "Good-Fortune and Longevity Jade" that translates as, "Good-fortune and longevity are extended to match the heavenly realm; green tinged with red presents profound charm of colors. A stone from a pedestal floating like a cloud in the third-level of the Tusita Heaven; I spontaneously smile without shame."
The meaning is that this colossal and extraordinarily beautiful jade of good-fortune and longevity did not come into being in the land or waters of the human realm. Rather, its inspiration came from the Tusita Heaven of celestial beings. This pedestal of the gods floating among the clouds contains the beautiful wish of blessings and extended longevity.
The dark green is steady and deep. There is the charm of splash-ink found in an ink-and-wash painting. This image is concentrated but not stiff, reflecting a broad mindset that is both poised and dynamic. Several salient red and light emerald green spots illuminate the jade's color scheme, like instantly intoxicating smiles in a very sedate setting. This extraordinarily beautiful jade of good-fortune and longevity that can only be found in the celestial world was painted using "Chaoshi" style techniques. It is a real artistic treat brought to this human world through the brushwork of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III (H.H. 第三世多杰羌佛)
