　　There seems to be a common belief in painting circles that paintings of plantain trees and lichees are easy to paint.  However, this painting in front of you is by no means easy to paint.  How could a work of ordinary appeal deservedly use the title "Resplendent Like Jade"?  　The natural-looking, pleasing plantain tree in this painting was drawn with only a small number of strokes.  It is so beautiful and pleasant, so elegant and enrapturing.  It appears so natural, without the slightest mark of artificiality.  The plantain leaves were painted vigorously and spontaneously.  Each of the elegantly simple and adeptly painted matching lichees was completed with just a small number of brush touches.  Both the plantain tree and lichees lack any mediocrity and were painted without the slightest mental attachment in the mind of the artist.

　　The key point is that, with just a small number of simple strokes, the whole painting is impressively imbued with a strong jade-like charm and an auspicious air.  This is aptly expressed in the following short poem: "Unfurl the painting scroll and the especially fragrant scent of ink is sent forth, permeating the viewer's mind and intoxicating him to the core.  No more than a small number of strokes were applied.   This is the king of paintings in which ink is used as sparingly as gold."

　　This painting engenders a naturally satisfying feeling.  The style is uninhibited and bold.  The lines and brush touches are flowing and smooth, without the slightest affectation.  The application of brush and ink conveys a very strong sense that this artist is a great master with profound and extensive knowledge, not just a person specializing in painting alone.

　　Otherwise, it would be impossible for this painting to possess such a scholarly air and embody such consummate artistry.

　　This artwork is in the "Fanpu" style.

　　This is a painting in the "Thickly Piled Patches of Color" style.  The entire painting vividly expresses the inner powers and conceptions underlying the artist's techniques.  The work is simple, casual, and natural.  The sunflowers, stems, leaves, vase and table top fully reveal adeptness in the application of color patches and brushwork based on a magnanimous, unattached state of mind.  Four different techniques were used to convey the Thickly Piled Patches of Color style, all of which show the skills of the artist in depicting this picturesque scene.  Impressionism and realism are both incorporated within this work.

　　A small number of color patches form a charming image of the flowers.  Smooth, vigorous, and natural strokes portray a scene of rare artistry.  The sunflowers have an extremely interesting withered quality, even an insect-infested look , which leaves a lasting impression on the viewer.

　　The sunflower works of the great master of oil paintings,  Vincent van Gogh, reached the pinnacle of art in the history of Western painting.  Yet, when compared with those remarkable paintings of van Gogh, this sunflower painting by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III(H.H. 第三世多杰羌佛) inspires great admiration, heaving the viewer with only one impression:artistry too beautiful to be duplicated, embodying both impressionism and realism, has come to this world through the "Thickly Piled Patches of Color" style!

成就之或俱之智者而善利時，故事業之成必備時，具智無時業無研機，時智具之，就業由然，成就之道弗出定諦也。

世間上的人，在幹事業的過程中，有的取得了成就，有的遭到失敗，而且各人所取得的成就各不相同，異類相殊，有大有小，究其原因，主要是若要取得一件事業的成功，自己必須首先具備一定的聰明才智，而在此前提下，還必須要有時間和機遇，才華和時機兩者都要具備。所以說，任何事業的成就都必須是才華和時機的集合。如果只有才智、聰明，而沒有時間和恰當的機會，那麼，就可能沒有發揮聰明才智的條件，既無法深入研究這件事情的本身實質，也不能在最適合的時間去掌握它，所以就不會成功。因此，只有同時具時和具智，事業才能有所成就。這是所有成就事業所不可否定的一種定諦。

相對能量何以足之？專一而取之，甲乙等力之對，甲專攻其乙之一，甲可勝之，相等料木以一尖刺其面，可制于傷也。

本題屬兵法論題。相對能量何以足之？就是指在大家力量相等時，怎樣才能戰敗對方而使自己取勝？這時要專一而進取之。主要是要選擇他的弱點，集中自己的優勢，專攻其一，才能取勝，就是說，在甲和乙互相力量相等的時候，甲必須攻擊乙的某一點，而且是最薄弱或最重要的一點，不能散面攻擊，這樣甲就可以取勝了。正如有兩塊相同材質的木料，如果將其中一塊削尖，以刺另一塊木料的面，就絕對可以將其刺壞。以刺另一塊木料的面，就絕對可以將其刺壞。又比如現代戰爭中的導彈，在敵對雙方導彈相等時，我們怎樣來消滅對方呢？這時專刺其要害之一，就要選其精銳而傷之，即選取對方的要害之處，將他的指揮系統毀掉，這樣那些導彈就失去了一切航向，失去了航向，則無目標，自然成了一堆廢鐵，就不能發射了。

一省之田為一市之用甚多也，一國之或何以覺之，國人國土而方養之，一人之力頗大者則弗及其眾推之量也。

世間上的萬事萬物，它們之間的大小，其相應的能量和作用，都是相對的，通過互相比較即可得出來，如果沒有比較，就不能看出大小，也無法相應其所適用的道理。正如一個省的田地，拿來供一個市用的話，就會覺得很多、很寬、很廣，但如果一個國家來用這一個省的田的話，就不夠用了，就不能滿足，所以說一國的人要一國的土地才能養起來。這裡就告訴我們一個道理，一個人的力量再大，不管你有多大的能耐、本事，都是有限度的，只有眾人的力量積累起來，才是真正的大。

受人之敬者，由布益于或而所至也，如眾之讚游池妙哉，原在它之解暑施涼故耳。

有的人在社會上很受人尊敬，這是什麼原因呢？主要是他有高尚的品德和豐富的知識，能給人們帶來好處、帶來利益，時時對他人施以關懷和溫暖，大公無私，在他人遇到困難時總是全力救助，由此，人們才熱愛和敬重他，這是一個顛撲不破的真理。就正如通常在夏天，大家都喜歡說游泳池好一樣，其原因主要在於在夏天的暑熱當中，游泳池能給人解熱施涼，幫助人們消除炎熱的疲勞，送來舒適的涼意，所以大家才會讚頌它。因此，同樣的道理，作為一個人，一定要給人類帶來好處，給大眾謀取福利，這樣，自然而然地，大眾就會尊重你。
